Our History

My father started in the ice cream business in the early 1960s selling ice cream from a push cart where he worked the streets of Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, Regent Street, Wembley Stadium, Aldgate Market and Hyde Park.  He purchased his first ice cream van, a Bedford CA for £150 in 1968 selling scooped ice cream and in 1974 upgraded to a Bedford CF2 soft ice cream van.  From 1978 onwards his sons began to join the business which was the starting motion of Softee Bros and since then the business has expanded into a modern day fleet of ice cream vans.
